Episode 135: The Lockdown Diaries – Daniel Sutton

Another episode from “The Lockdown Diaries” a series of light-hearted short interviews with security and cyber professionals about how the Covid19 pandemic has changed the way that they work and life in general.

Jenny is joined by mentalist/magician and social engineer Daniel Sutton.  They chat about the links between magic and social engineering, including distraction techniques, pickpocketing and hypnosis.  They discuss how memory can be fallible and easily moulded and how this applies to security targets as well as audiences, as well as why simple does not mean easy when it comes to both magic and social engineering techniques.
